Common Ground
Making Good in Bethel Township
"What good is it, my brothers, if a man
claims to have faith but has no deeds? Suppose a brother or sister is
without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go I wish
you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical
needs, what good is it?”
James 2:14-16
“What good is it?” That’s the question we raise as we see people
struggling to make ends meet. What happens when there isn’t enough to
buy food and pay the bills? When the choice is between health care and a
hot meal? Gasoline or groceries? Who will offer more than well wishes to
a neighbor in need?
This is central to our mission at I.M.P.A.C.T. Bethel. We believe in
showing our faith by what we do. Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as
yourself.” We believe the only thing that counts is faith expressing
itself through love.
We want to create a common place where residents can turn in time of
need. A community where those in need and those who can help work
together and interchange as the situation demands. The Community
Resource Center (CRC) is envisioned as the common ground where
information, services, support, and the heart of a people committed to
making good one life at a time come together. We hope you’ll join us.
