Summerfood Program
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a free lunch program open to all children living in the Tecumseh Local School district, ages 1-18. This past summer 768 free lunches were served at three locations: Medway Elementary, Raynor Park and Carlisle Park. Collectively 97 people and 9 churches volunteered to help with the program. Next summer we hope to continue the program and reach more children throughout the community.
The SFSP is funded by the Ohio Department of Education and sponsored by Tecumseh Local Schools. The role of IMPACT Bethel was to manage Raynor and Carlisle Parks. IMPACT provided the volunteers to run the sites along with logistical support. All volunteers associated with this program have been finger printed and approved by the state to work with children.
